Ortovox, a mountain-inspired apparel and gear brand, has named Stefan Kohlbauer chief executive officer, effective Saturday. A passionate alpinist based in the Tyrol region, Kohlbauer has extensive experience in the outdoor, sport and fashion industries and previously served as director of sales and marketing for the German company. He succeeds Martin Riebel, managing director of Schwan-Stabilo Outdoor, who had served as interim CEO. Schwan-Stabilo is Ortovox’s parent company. “Stefan Kohlbauer is a very experienced industry expert with a profound understanding of the brand and the markets and a clear vision for the future of Ortovox,” said Riebel. “His focus on sound growth, sustainability, innovation and collaborative partnership will further strengthen our brand.
